Im Jahr 1970 gründete Wolfram Rottsieper mit seinem damaligen Geschäftspartner das Unternehmen in Remscheid-Hasten. Sie machten sich in kurzer Zeit einen Namen im Bereich der rost-, säure- und hitzebeständigen Edelstahlgüten. Dabei erweiterte sich das Sortiment stetig, alle gängigen Abmessungen und Werkstoffe fanden sich bereits nach kurzer Zeit im Angebot.
Die Lagerkapazitäten wurden mit dem Umzug in das eigene Gebäude mit Bahnanschluss, zentral an der Bundesstraße B 229 gelegen, ausgebaut. Das Unternehmen wuchs kontinuierlich und etablierte sich als Spezialist auf dem Markt für Edelstahl Rostfrei.
Von 1985 bis 1993 führte Wolfram Rottsieper das Unternehmen als alleiniger Geschäftsführer und Gesellschafter.
In zweiter Generation führt Heike Rottsieper-Halbach nach dem Tod des Vaters die Geschäfte seit nun fast 20 Jahren und entwickelt das Unternehmen beständig weiter.
