The company i.v.b. – Antriebstechnik GmbH was founded in 1996 and is a trading company in automation technology with special products for solving complex tasks in drive technology.
The product range consists in particular of a large number of innovative stepper motors, mechatronic drive systems, intelligent electronic stepper motor controls and customized solutions for a wide variety of applications.
We have an extensive selection of products with different performance features in our range so that their use offers the greatest possible benefit for our customers.
Profitability, quality, longevity and reliability of our products to achieve low system costs in innovative solutions and personal service are fundamental elements and key functions that determine our actions.
Our suppliers are certified producers who guarantee a high quality and reliability of the products according to international quality standards. The close cooperation with our suppliers enables flexible, customer-specific project implementation.
Our company was founded as a GbR in 1996 and converted into the legal form of a GmbH in 1999.
We have been the German representative of the Swiss company Sonceboz S.A. since 2000 and have been their system partner since 2001. We have also been working successfully with our technology partner S.H.S. Italy since 2000.
Our declared goal is to provide our national and international customers with the best technologically leading drive technology products of the highest quality to solve innovative tasks.

The History
abp was founded in 1999 by Wilhelm Ploetz and Bernd Bäuerle in St. Georgen in the Black Forest. Thanks to its profound technical knowledge and excellent sales skills, the young company received the "Founder Champion" award at national level in May 2000. And the Black Forest success story continues: abp today has its headquarters in the Technology Center in St. Georgen, employs more than 20 people and is proud of an international and constantly growing customer base. In the meantime the founding members have retired. The company is now managed by Mrs. Barbara Ploetz and Mr. Werner Bösinger.

With approx. 4,900 employees today, NORD DRIVESYSTEMS has developed, produced and sold drive technology since 1965, and is one of the leading global full-service providers in the industry. In addition to standard drives, NORD delivers application-specific concepts and solutions for special requirements such as energy-saving drives or explosion-protected systems. In the 2022 financial year, annual sales amounted to 1 Mrd. €. NORD has 48 subsidiaries in 36 countries and further sales partners in more than 50 countries. They provide technical support, local stocks, assembly centres and customer service. NORD develops and produces a wide range of drive solutions for more than 100 industries, gear units for torques from 10 Nm up to over 282 kNm, supplies electric motors in the power range of 0.12 kW to 1,000 kW, and supplies the required power electronics with frequency inverters of up to 160 kW. More than 70 years of experience in drive technology: The history of the company Heidrive GmbH can be traced back to the year 1720. From a blacksmiths shop in Schwabach a metal products factory was built in 1938, which expanded worldwide. After the first electric motors were developed and produced in 1951, in 1961 the current headquarter, the plant in Kelheim was opened. In 1968 another division in Kelheim, specialized in system units and 1995, the subsidiary Heidrive s.r.o. in Mrakov, Czech Republic were established. Since January 2015 the division system technology is now represented under the own corporate name Pasotec GmbH and has taken over an important place in the company structure as subsidiary of Heidrive GmbH.
Since January 2016, the company Heidrive GmbH is part of the U.S. American drive technology manufacturer Allied Motion Technologies Inc.
