有两种形式的POLY齿轮泵：
a）标准型：入口法兰是和反应器出口法兰直连的圆形法兰。
b）低NPSH型：齿轮泵被夹在反应器出口法兰和泵出口的松套法兰之间。这种设计提供了特别大、入口距离特别短的吸入口，大大优化了物料流入齿轮泵。入口法兰可以是圆形、方形或其他规则图形。
低NPSH结构吸入压力损失取决于一系列因素，其中像粘度和流动速率完全取决于生产工艺。根据海根-泊谡叶公式，压力损失与物料流过的距离成正比，与管路直径的四次方成反比。Witte特有的低NPSH结构融合了这些技术，泵的入口加大，通过距离缩短。
低NPSH结构泵的连接法兰为出口高压侧的松套法兰，将泵夹在反应器和松套法兰这两片法兰之间。这种结构允许泵腔有更大的吸入口和更短的流程。吸入口形状可以选择，如圆形或者方形。
由于泵的入口压力损失已减小到最低，即使在非常苛刻条件下应用，泵也能可靠工作，例如高粘或泡沫熔体的出料输送。
密封形式带填料函的真空螺旋密封
真空螺旋密封是一种特殊的螺旋密封，可带加热或冷却夹套。通过针形阀来调整通往吸入侧的回流量，使得堵住的熔体形成阻隔。这使它可应用在吸入侧为真空的情况下。由于它是动密封，通常与带隔离液的填料密封组合在一起，使得即使在静止状态下也能防止空气进入反应器。
填料函密封
填料函是威特泵的一种简单的静密封。如果需要可配上密封液系统。其类似螺旋密封。填料的标准材料为带增强柔性纤维的膨胀石墨，但也可用别的材料。
带唇封的真空螺旋密封
作为另外一个选择，真空螺旋密封也可与唇封组合在一起。在泵短暂停止时，静态轴封里的密封液相当于阻隔可以阻止空气通过轴封进入泵内。
人字形齿轮与直齿和斜齿相比，人字形齿轮降低了输送介质的脉动，这特别有利于聚合物。
由于物料更容易从齿间的空隙带走，人字齿能够更好地输送固体颗粒含量高的物料。另外还降低了对聚合物的剪切应力。对于高敏感的聚合物来说降低齿轮啮合时对聚合物的剪切应力和温升是非常重要的。
在用的齿轮泵也可以用我们的人字形齿轮来替换。仅需要更换滑动轴承和齿轮轴。可供尺寸范围：从4号泵 (45/45) 到11号泵 (224/224)。
