The family-owned company KNOLL supplies manufacturers and users of machine tools worldwide with conveying, filtering and pumping systems. With over 1,000 employees, KNOLL is the largest company in the Upper Swabian town of Bad Saulgau. Walter Knoll founded the company in a 200 m² hall in 1970. It has been growing constantly on its own premises since 1974. In the beginning, the built-up area was 900 m², in 2015 it's already covering more than 54,000 m². Due to a high vertical range of manufacture, the added value remains within the company. The connection and responsibility to the structurally weak region are firmly anchored in the company's philosophy. Since it was founded in 2005 - as a German sister company of the Dutch Horrichs Apparatenbouw BV and Holland Filter BV - UrMaTi Apparatebau GmbH has combined the knowledge and experience of these two traditional companies.
The products were originally used for process and waste water treatment, with extensive experience being gained particularly in the food industry.
Especially in this area, it is of great importance that the equipment is made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant materials. The decision to exclusively use stainless steel and other high-quality materials was then quickly made. Within the food industry, UrMaTi Apparatebau GmbH has acquired knowledge in the field of production of various apparatuses and internal transport systems.
Of course, these devices are also made of stainless steel. From the food industry we have been able to gain experience in the field of stainless steel industry as well as in other branches of industry.
