Im Jahr 1990 wurde das Unternehmen seli Automatisierungstechnik als GmbH gegründet. Ziel des Unternehmens war es unter anderem eine alternative Lieferadresse für Komponenten aus der Automatisierungstechnik zu schaffen. Hierbei war das wichtigste Ziel, eine komplette fachliche Beratung sowohl im Innendienst wie auch vor Ort sicherzustellen. Ebenfalls stand die Entwicklung und Fertigung von Produkten von Anfang an im Vordergrund. Zielgruppe war in erster Linie der Industrieendverbraucher.
Heute ist das Unternehmen mit mehr als 30 Mitarbeitern eines der größten Systemhäuser für die Automatisierungstechnik und ein namhafter Hersteller von Messtechnik in der Industrie.
Als eines der Standbeine des Unternehmens ist die Vertretung oder Distribution von namhaften Partnern zu nennen.
