Die Firma Ratio Elektronik GmbH mit Sitz in Ravensburg entwickelt und vertreibt seit mehr als 30 Jahren Systeme für den bargeldlosen Zahlungsverkehr für Tankstellen.Begonnen hatte man in den 70-er Jahren mit einem einfachen Tankautomaten, mit dem man Stationskarten verarbeiten konnte.
Im Verlaufe der letzten 30 Jahre wurden die Systeme immer weiter entwickelt. 1994 begann man mit der Entwicklung einer Tankstellensteuerung die 1996 mit Erfolg im Markt eingeführt wurde. Im Jahr 2001 wurden die ersten Kassensysteme vom Typ RPOS NT mit großem Erfolg ausgeliefert.
Dadurch, dass Ratio Elektronik GmbH den gesamten Zahlungsverkehr vom Erfassen der Tankdaten bis zur kompletten Kundenabrechnung anbieten kann, konnten in den folgenden Jahren viele Kunden gewonnen werden. Durch ein dichtes Netz von Vertriebs- und Servicepartnern wurden in den Ländern Deutschland, Österreich, Slovenien und Tschechien bisher mehr als 1600 Tankstellen mit Systemen von Ratio Elektronik GmbH ausgestatet.
Seit 2010 arbeitet die Firma Ratio Elektronik GmbH nach dem Qualitätsmanagementsystem DIN EN ISO 9001:2015
