Before starting our own business, our managing director Klaus Saatkamp sen. at various paper manufacturers and paper converters in the region, where he noticed the growing need for precise tools.
The company Klaus Saatkamp GmbH & Co. KG has been manufacturing punching tools for the paper industry (solid and corrugated board) since 1986. Mr. Klaus Saatkamp started alone, but his family supported him in the background. At that time, the tools were drawn and sawn manually on a drawing table.
It was quickly recognized that the precision of the cutting dies had to be increased. In 1990 we invested in our first laser. The first plotter followed a short time later. Due to the quickly exhausted potential at the "old" Lamersdorf location, investments were made continuously in new extensions and machines.
