查看更多 SIOS Meßtechnik GmbH specializes in the development and manufacture of high-precision measurement instruments. The company was founded in 1991 by Professor Jäger and employees of the Institute of Process Measurement and Sensor Technology at the Technical University of Ilmenau.
From the beginning there was a close scientific and technical cooperation between the SIOS Meßtechnik GmbH and the institute. That formed the basis for the development and manufacture of innovative products of the precision measurement technology, especially in the field of laser interferometry. Today, the cooperation between the Institute for Process Measurement and Sensor Technology and SIOS is continued for the benefit of both partners.
Scientific relationships exist with many other partners from academia and institutional areas. The cooperation with the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is especially appreciable.
The SIOS company started in the “Technologie- und Gründerzentrum Ilmenau” (translation: centre of technology and formation) and moved in 1993 into the own building in the business park “Am Vogelherd”.
The company is still located in this park, although the building has been expanded several times over recent years.
The company’s proximity and links to the Technical University of Ilmenau and its presence in the Technology Region Ilmenau provides solid background for our business and ensures successful future technological advances.
From the beginning the SIOS Meßtechnik GmbH has reinvested a substantial part of it´s revenue into research and development. Enabling the regular creation of new and innovative products for the market.
Today SIOS Meßtechnik GmbH is a global player. Our representations are situated in nearly 25 of the most important industrial nations and aproximatley 50% of our sales is generated overseas.
Additionally, we are proud winners of several company awards and individual colleagues have received various honours over the years, highlighting our achievements in innovation and business by our industrial and academic peers.
