All of our barns are fully insulated as standard. Although horse stables should of course not be heated, thermal insulation is of crucial importance with regard to air quality, as it cushions extreme temperature peaks in the summer and winter months. This prevents the barn from overheating in summer, for example. In the cold season, this is particularly beneficial for clipped horses. At the same time, the insulation ensures a small temperature difference between the outside and inside, which is also of fundamental importance for the ventilation system.
All of our stables are made of wood. Thanks to a multitude of positive properties, this is the ideal material for horse stalls. Due to its open-pored structure, moisture can be absorbed if necessary, which is later released back into the environment. This material thus has a moisture-regulating effect. Together with the insulation and our precisely coordinated ventilation concept, we achieve a perfect stable climate in the interior. Another advantage of wood is its high elasticity, which absorbs shocks particularly well and thus protects the joints of the four-legged friends.
