About Us . . . Calbe Chemie GmbH was founded at February 1st, 1991. At the beginning our core business was production & sales of processing chemicals for all divisions of analog photograpy. Until today Calbe Chemie is a reliable supplier of these technological systems. Main products are processing chemicals for x-ray films, photo films and papers (both color and black & white) and motion picture films. Based on our long-term experience in reprographic processing we have added pressroom chemicals to our range. Due to deminishing of traditional analog photography we decided in 2002 to use the existing modern mixing facilities and botteling lines for manufacturing of alternative products. Long-term investments in 2003 and 2004 have been carried out according to this point of view. New technologies have been combined with long-term planning, experience and know-how for decades of chemical production are used today for new products and extraordinary technological solutions. Main product groups now are special cleaners, chemicals for pond & aquaria, industrial intermediates, pool products, ecological fertillizers and plant protection chemicals as well as chemicals for building and construction.
All non-photographic products are also produced as toll manufacturing. Business diversification will be continued consequently to make sure that we can offer innovative combinations of product and service to our customers also in future.
